If you’ve been on social media or watched the news for more than five minutes in the last few years, you’ve probably realized things are very messy in our world. As people trying to follow Jesus, how do we navigate the oftentimes painful polarization happening in our culture and communities? How do we love people we might disagree with? We know. So many of life’s big questions are tough. Many have no easy answers, no neat and tidy way to tie a bow on the things that keep us up at night, wrestling with the realities of truth and pain and loss. How do we even know what’s true? Can an ancient book like the Bible be trusted to give us clear answers to some of these massive questions that every generation asks? It seems like even Jesus answered some questions with other questions. Where does that leave us?

We’re cruising into summer where the days are longer and the warm evenings mean kids can play outside until dark. There will be bonfires, s’mores and camping, porch sitting and popcorn and drippy ice cream cones. Games and swimming and laying in the hammock. Summer is undoubtedly a time for FUN! There’s nothing quite like laughing with good friends until your sides hurt. Nothing like making memories with your family that will last a lifetime. Nothing like knowing that in the midst of it all, God loves you and wants your life to be overflowing with laughter, hope and joy.For three weeks in July we’ll be celebrating that the best things in life are free: making memories, strengthening relationships and growing our faith. It’s going to be a party every weekend!
